A month-long Special Motorcycle Operation in Malaysia, led by the Road Transport Department (JPJ) and other agencies, revealed 22,601 cases of driving without a license—the most common offence. Additional violations included expired road tax (16,789 cases), no insurance (15,117 cases), non-compliant registration plates (4,699 cases), expired licenses (1,606 cases), and underage riders (167 cases). Over 304,000 motorcycles were inspected, 78,152 summonses issued, and 2,125 motorcycles seized. Authorities highlighted strict enforcement of the Road Transport Act 1987 to enhance safety and urged the public to report violations through the MyJPJ app or email. The operation aims to reduce accidents and fatalities.
