SIBU: Sarawak PKR chief Ahmad Nazib Johari has urged Pakatan Harapan members to be fully prepared as the state election could be held this year. Speaking at the Lanang PKR Chinese New Year gala dinner, he called on potential candidates to strengthen grassroots machinery and reinforce party branches.

In the 2021 state election, Pakatan failed to win any of the 28 seats contested. Ahmad Nazib also highlighted national concerns, saying Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is prioritising education improvements, particularly repairs to dilapidated schools in Sarawak, and urged members to identify local shortcomings.
