The gunman behind the Setia Alam mall shooting on Feb 8 was planning to escape by boat to a neighboring country, Bernama reported. His plans unraveled when police ambushed and killed him in Pulau Ketam, Klang, early yesterday. A restaurant operator revealed that the shooter, known as “Ah Boy,” had inquired about boat trips to Thailand upon arriving on the island the previous evening. Acting swiftly, police intercepted him before he could flee. The dramatic shootout ended his escape attempt, ensuring he could not evade justice for his actions at the mall.
