Sim slams netizen for insulting his adopted daughter on social media

1 min read

PETALING JAYA: Human Resources Minister Steven Sim condemned a netizen, suspected to be a political party member, for insulting his adopted daughter on social media. The Penang DAP chairman, in an X post, said he could tolerate personal attacks but urged moderation, decrying the defamation of the teenager he adopted last September. A viral video showed the critic alleging Sim neglected the girl after her accident, claiming Permatang Pauh MP Fawwaz Jan provided RM150 instead. Sim’s officer, Rosly Yusof, countered on Facebook, confirming immediate post-accident support and a RM200 monthly allowance via the “YB’s Adopted Child” programme for her studies in Melaka.
