A Chinese national was arrested in Pahang for kidnapping and related offences after a 15-year-old girl failed to attend school in Singapore. Johor police chief Commissioner M. Kumar stated that the girl, also a Chinese national, was found during a raid in Kuantan on Nov 26. The student had crossed Singapore’s Woodlands Checkpoint into Malaysia on Nov 24. Her father, a 48-year-old Chinese national, reported her missing on Nov 25 when she did not arrive at school. Preliminary investigations revealed the girl left Singapore voluntarily and unaccompanied before her disappearance was reported to authorities.
