A 41-year-old Singaporean father of four, Romeo Seah Yan Sheng, was fined RM1,800 (S$580) by a Johor court on Jan 28 after pleading guilty to intentionally causing injury. The incident occurred at 2:30am on Oct 5, 2025, in a karaoke room at an entertainment outlet in Taman Setia Jaya.

Singaporean Man Fined

Seah and four friends barged in, accusing the 33-year-old victim of bringing his wife there. Despite the victim’s denial, Seah punched him in the face, causing bleeding, then repeatedly struck his head. The two scuffled, and the victim fell, hitting his head on a table and requiring hospital treatment. Seah would have faced four months’ jail if he failed to pay the fine.
