At Kedah Keat Hwa Independent High School in Alor Setar, a teacher was detained by police following allegations of sexual harassment against a student. The school, informed on April 19 at 5pm, swiftly responded by forming a crisis response team, as the principal was on medical leave. Comprising school board members, the PTA, and alumni association, the team convened an emergency meeting on April 20 at 10am. They suspended the accused teacher and pledged full cooperation with the ongoing police investigation. The school’s statement, shared on its official Facebook page, outlined four key points to address the crisis transparently.
