In Kuala Lumpur, the Dewi Sri Pathrakaliamman temple faced relocation after years along Jalan Munshi Abdullah. Following a meeting with MIC deputy president M Saravanan, Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa, and KL mayor Maimunah Mohd Sharif, DBKL agreed to shift it 60 feet to a 4,000-square-foot plot, gazetted permanently for the temple. The committee rejoiced—still nestled near Masjid India, the temple would thrive uninterrupted until its new home was ready, ensuring tradition endured.
