Former U.S. President Donald Trump won a temporary reprieve in court to maintain his controversial tariffs on China and other countries. The U.S. Court of Appeals paused a lower court ruling that deemed many of Trump’s import duties unconstitutional, allowing time for an appeal.
Trump Gets Temporary Court Relief to Keep Tariffs in Place
The tariffs, which Trump claims are vital for national security and trade fairness, have disrupted global markets and supply chains. His administration called the ruling “blatantly wrong” and is confident it will be overturned. While some duties remain, including those on steel and autos, others affecting Canada, Mexico, China, and the EU are under legal scrutiny.
