The initiative includes participation in international frameworks such as the Pandemic Agreement and updates to the International Health Regulations. These efforts aim to improve the country’s ability to detect and respond to potential health threats more effectively. Officials said stronger preparedness would help minimise disruptions to daily life and economic activities during outbreaks. The collaboration also reflects Malaysia’s active role in global health diplomacy and commitment to maintaining a resilient healthcare system.
The move comes amid growing global awareness of the need for coordinated responses to emerging health risks.
