If Umno was the government in Singapore, the city-state would be more advanced says Johor BN chief Datuk Hasni Mohammad in reply to a PAS leader vice-president Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah who said Singapore has progressed because Umno was not the government.
The silly fight between Umno and the PAS has now spilt into Singapore where there is, however, little debate on the matter since the PAP is firmly in power there and the Malay community is a minority in the country.
Perhaps the kleptocracy would have been bigger if Umno was leading Singapore because it would have made it easier to wire money out of Malaysia to the red dot?
