Only one thing in buyers’ minds, that is prices go down in this pandemic but it is not that easy. However, buyers are hoping chicken prices will go down because people are struggling with the effects of the pandemic.
On average, buyers abide by the price of chicken in the market between RM8.50 to RM9.50 per kilogram which is still considered burdensome.
Buyers are saying the current price increase was not appropriate as many people were struggling with financial problems and they expressed their surprise when they saw the price of chicken went up to RM9.50 in some wet markets!
Before the increase in prices, a kilo of chicken was RM7.90.
