A recent study done by UM shows the disparity when it comes to the minimum wage standards between Malaysia and Australia. Apparently, it would take a Malaysian worker earning minimum wage four times longer than Australians to buy something as basic as chicken.

Additionally, another user did some research regarding this matter. They state that the price of chicken is technically more affordable for Australians as the dollar to dollar comparison is lower there. However, if converted, Australian chicken is more expensive.
Others claim the disparity will continue on as the goal posts may move according to the employers.
