Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi emphasized the need to expel Mara students who misuse improved Internet facilities for criminal activities, particularly those involving sexual elements.
Zahid Warns Against Internet Abuse in Mara Institutions
Speaking at a Hari Raya Aidilfitri event, he urged responsible use of the RM200mil Internet upgrade announced by Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil. Zahid highlighted a case in Johor where a student edited lewd photos for sale online, stressing the importance of safe Internet campaigns to combat cyberbullying, scams, and exploitation.
He called for collaboration between Mara, the ministry, and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission to ensure ethical Internet use.
