Zus Coffee, one of the fastest growing coffee shops in Malaysia has now even surpassed Coffee Bean in terms of the number of stores. It is pretty heartwarming to see them giving access to premium coffee at a more affordable price. Furthermore, they have been opening up chains in locations where Starbucks and Coffee Bean would deem as unnecessary.

However, some cheeky netizens are stating that if Coffee Bean’s straws do not cause major inconvenience, they could perhaps overcome Zus Coffee. In 2022, there are about 180 chains for Zus, and only 130 for Coffee Bean. Despite this, Starbucks is still the popular option for Malaysians with over 300 chains.
Netizens are adding that F&B outlets like these can have the strong potential to increase the real estate value of a selected location. There are cases that McDonalds and Starbucks popped up and property values increased shortly after.
