Apparently, the Madani toilets for schools are in the centre of conversations again as 10 contractors are now blacklisted by the state of Negeri Sembilan. Apparently, they were allegedly subcontracting the construction of these toilets to another company, hence leaving insufficient funds to complete the project.
10 contractors blacklisted by JPNS
Netizens state that during their school days, the administrations needed to collect their own money to fix these toilets. Now that the government is providing funds to fix them, there are people trying to take advantage of the situation.
Apparently, an X user explains that a main contractor will hire a subcontractor. If the tender is worth RM70,000, the main contractor will take RM15,000 and give RM55,000 to the sub. Which would then obviously lead the sub-con to cut a lot of corners.
