How did Malaysians vote in 2022

The graphs below are an indication of how did Malaysians vote and depict the age factor in the recently concluded general elections and who voted for which electoral blocks led to the hung parliament.

Malaysians vote count

In these constituencies won by PN, there is a higher proportion of registered voters aged 18 to 39 compared with the national average.

Meanwhile, PH won in constituencies where there is a higher share of older registered voters aged above 40.

The seats won by BN have a higher proportion of registered voters between 30 and 39 years old

Malaysians vote in General

Zooming in on the average age distribution of registered voters in seats won by each coalition and comparing them with the age distribution of the overall population, we are able to see these marginal differences better.
