John W Henry, the principal owner of Liverpool Football Club, has clarified that Fenway Sports Group (FSG) has no intention of selling the club. FSG had enlisted Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley for a sales presentation of the club in November.
This sparked rumours that the Boston-based company may sell its majority stake in the English club. Henry confirmed that FSG hired the investment banks to explore potential investors, but the club is not for sale.
In a rare interview with the Boston Sports Journal, Henry also confirmed that FSG has no plans to sell the Boston Red Sox, which it also owns, despite purchasing the Pittsburgh Penguins ice hockey team.

Fans are unhappy that the club has not gotten any new players during the transfer period. Now it is definitely too late to get any new ones. Criticisms towards the current owner for letting the club go was a popular opinion among fans, but fortunately for them, They will still be under the same ownership.
