The Muda politician, Syed Saddiq met the Perikatan Nasional leader back in December. In February he stated that if he had backed Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (TSMY) as Prime Minister during the Sheraton move, he would not be on trial now.

Regardless of the conflicting news headlines about the politician, people do somewhat agree with his statement regarding his trial. However, the once adored young politician’s popularity seems to be declining as some netizens are calling him a “snake.”
Others observed that PN leaders may be politically harsh towards Syed Saddiq but remain to be good mentors of the young politician. Some even accused Syed to be the future Tun Mahathir.
Twitter users then commented his likeness to Khairy Jamaluddin. Mind you, Khairy is not a popular figure on Twitter. Politics is an unstable game, and the people you choose to frequent with will make the general public think that you’re on their side.
