Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani plans to make a second bid to purchase Manchester United before the Wednesday 9 pm deadline. Representatives of the Qatari businessman visited Old Trafford and the club’s Carrington training ground on Thursday to receive more information for due diligence.

Although the work continues, it is understood that a second bid for full control of Manchester United will be submitted on Wednesday. Sources close to Sheikh Jassim have described the meetings as positive and constructive. Reports suggest that over five bids could be submitted by the Wednesday deadline, including potentially up to eight.
Only Sheikh Jassim and Ineos have publicly declared their interest in buying the club, valued at £6bn by the Glazer family. The Ineos founder, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, has also visited the club and expressed his interest in United, stating his goal would be to win trophies, and he would not pay “stupid” prices.
