Prasarana Malaysia Berhad seeks RM38 million compensation for damages to the LRT Bandaraya station structure. Transport Minister Anthony Loke stated legal action against the developer and site owner is imminent.

The claim encompasses repair costs, service disruptions, and interim bus arrangements. Loke emphasized prioritizing repairs over legal proceedings. Damage to the bridge and pillars occurred last January, closing six stations on the Ampang-Sri Petaling route, with focus later shifting to Bandaraya and Masjid Jamek stations.

Investigation revealed ground movement from nearby hotel construction caused the damage. Loke stressed local authorities must consult LPTA and the operator before approving projects near railway stations.
