An Air India flight from Phuket to New Delhi made an emergency landing on Friday (June 13) after receiving a bomb threat onboard. According to Channel News Asia, flight AI 379, carrying 156 passengers, took off at 9.30am and returned to Phuket after circling the Andaman Sea.

All passengers were safely evacuated, and a preliminary search found no bomb, although a threat note was discovered.
Authorities are questioning the passenger who reported the note. This comes just a day after a deadly Air India crash in Ahmedabad killed over 240 people. The airline has not yet commented. India has seen a surge in hoax bomb threats recently.
