Akmal urges public to stop donating to his account

PETALING JAYA, Oct 22, 2026 – UMNO Youth chief, Dr Akmal Saleh, has appealed to the public to stop transferring money into his bank account after receiving RM45,102.18 in contributions.

Akmal said most of the funds were not intended for the purchase of his Honda X-ADV motorcycle or tilapia fish he had put up for sale, but were instead donations from supporters concerned about his situation.

While expressing gratitude for the public’s generosity and support, he stressed that he wanted to take full responsibility and first attempt to resolve the matter by selling his own assets.

“I do not want to burden anyone in helping me because I will take full responsibility. God willing, I will bear it entirely myself,” he said in a statement.

Akmal also announced that he had removed the bank account number previously shared online to prevent further donations.

However, those interested in purchasing his Honda X-ADV motorcycle may still contact him directly for further details. He also thanked all supporters for their concern and prayers.
