KUALA LUMPUR — Bersatu’s disciplinary board has expelled Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan and five division chiefs while suspending Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal’s membership for one term. The board said the action followed investigations into complaints of breaches under Clause 9.1.4 of the party’s constitution and code of ethics.
Bersatu Expels Wan Saiful
The decision, made after a hearing on October 8, was described as independent and free from external interference. A Bersatu source said the move was linked to an alleged internal effort to gather statutory declarations challenging party president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s leadership, as well as disruptions during the recent party convention. All affected members have 14 days to appeal the ruling.
