Business operators bracing for fresh Covid-19 wave

After the rush with the opening of the economy following the end of the MCO’s, Malaysian businesses are now taking a more cautious approach to do business because they fear the 4th wave of infections is coming.

The Straits Times Singapore says business owners are taking measures on their own by limiting physical interactions with customers.

Malaysia’s health director-general, Noor Hisham Abdullah, recently warned of a possible new wave of Covid-19 infections. He says there are indications of a rise in R0 (R-nought) value – the average number of new infections arising from each case five weeks after an interstate movement ban was lifted.
