Chinese Couple Claims RM10,000 Missing After Purse Incident in Semenyih

A dispute involving RM10,000 allegedly missing from a Chinese couple’s purse in Semenyih has sparked debate among Malaysian netizens. The wife claimed she left her purse at a supermarket counter, later retrieved by a family of four seen on CCTV. 

RM10,000 Loss Seen as Lesson During Stay Abroad

Police identified the vehicle owner, who returned the purse but denied any cash was inside. The couple said the money was kept due to favourable exchange rates, expressing disappointment over the incident’s impact on their perception of Malaysia. 

Authorities noted the cash could not be recovered without admission, leaving the couple with a painful lesson abroad.
