No new clues in search for Vijayaletchumy in Sinkhole incident

The search for Vijayaletchumy, 48, an Indian woman who fell into an eight-meter-deep hole following a landslide on Jalan Masjid India, has now surpassed 72 hours without any new leads. Despite the efforts of 104 personnel from various safety agencies, including the Fire and Rescue Department, Civil Defence Force, Royal Malaysia Police, Kuala Lumpur City Hall, and Indah Water Konsortium (IWK), no significant progress has been made.

A meeting chaired by Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Seri Dr. Maimunah Mohd Sharif decided to implement a ‘flushing’ technique at two problematic manholes near Bank Pertanian and Bulatan Kinabalu, due to suspected blockages.
