SEREMBAN, Oct 13, 2026: DAP has denied any involvement in the ongoing political turmoil in Negeri Sembilan, with secretary-general Anthony Loke insisting the party remains focused on serving the people.
Speaking after the 24th Negeri Sembilan DAP Annual Convention, Loke said the party should not be blamed for the crisis, noting that DAP is not part of the current state administration.
“As I have said, we focus on our work. The most important thing is for elected representatives to remain focused on their duties. The turmoil in Negeri Sembilan seems to have no end,” he said.

Loke described the situation as complicated and involving various factors, adding: “What is happening today is not because of us.”
The Seremban MP said Barisan Nasional still holds a majority in the state assembly and should be able to continue governing. He also pointed to the Yang Dipertuan Besar’s directive for new Executive Council appointments as an avenue to restore normal administration.
Loke warned that the absence of state executive councillors could disrupt governance and decision-making. He also urged DAP members to strengthen the party and remain prepared for any political developments.
