The recent controversy regarding those who are fasting or not in public has been heavily debated by Malaysians. Apparently, a foreign woman feels that some women who are having their time of the month are not encouraged to eat in public during Ramadan.

However, it seems that a foreign woman who is a Muslim asked the question as other Muslim majority countries would allow a woman to eat in public during Ramadan. She adds that a lot of people in Malaysia claim it is disrespectful for a woman to not fast in public.
