A foreign national from a South Asian country was caught driving a luxury car using a suspected fake Malaysian driving licence during the Road Transport Department’s (JPJ) Ops Luxury 3.0. The operation, which ended yesterday, uncovered nine foreigners committing various offences, including driving without insurance and with expired road tax.

JPJ Senior Enforcement Director Muhammad Kifli Ma Hassan said investigations will determine how the counterfeit licence was obtained, with a possible syndicate link. The JPJ will work with the Immigration Department and other agencies. Ops Luxury 3.0, held since last Thursday, saw 104 luxury vehicles seized, including Ferraris, Range Rovers, and Porsches.
