1 min read

The Prime Minister’s Department is hiring a Video Editor under the MySTEP short-term employment initiative, offering RM2,300 monthly for degree holders aged 18–30. Applicants must be Malaysian citizens, willing to work in Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, or Bangi, and flexible to travel or work beyond standard hours.

MySTEP Salary Offer Sparks Debate

A valid driving licence and personal transport are required. While the role promises practical experience and impact, the salary sparked backlash online. Critics argued that degree holders deserve at least RM4,000, with some sarcastically suggesting RM1,700 instead.

Others said the department should use AI if budgets are tight, highlighting dissatisfaction with remuneration.
