The Ministry of Education is considering providing a living allowance for Form Six students to attract more participants. Deputy Education Minister Wong Kah Woh revealed this initiative during a parliamentary session.

Assistance for teachers too
The proposal also includes allowances for assistant Form Six teachers and increased grants for STPM subjects. The goal is to enhance student interest in STPM and motivate Form Six teachers.
Although the plan is in its early stages, it aligns with the Form Six Education Direction Plan 2024-2030 launched in May. Minister of Education Fadhilina Sidek previously emphasized rebranding Form Six to maintain its appeal as a post-SPM study option.
