Gucci has recently celebrated the fact that one of their most iconic quiet luxury designs is turning 70. The horsebit loafers were introduced in 1953, and are still a staple for the luxury brand. However, there are several more affordable brands that copied the shoes’ design.
Gucci’s quiet luxury shoes
The brand promoted their shoes in a 3 minute long video discussing the shoe’s history. Apparently, it was designed the same year as the passing of the brand’s founder. Luxury enthusiasts would know that the horsebit buckle is synonymous with the brand.
Today, these shoes would set you back around RM4,500. Just a few years ago, these shoes cost around RM2,000 plus. But you can still get seasonal colors on a discount at Johor Premium Outlets.
