PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang has declared the party’s readiness to accept UMNO members who oppose their party’s cooperation with DAP. Speaking at Masjid Rusila, the Marang MP emphasized PAS’ openness to those wishing to join its Islamic struggle.

His remarks follow UMNO’s participation in the unity government led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, which prompted several UMNO stalwarts to defect to PAS. Hadi reiterated his stance in his Minda Presiden article, criticizing UMNO’s “Rumah Bangsa” initiative as loyalty to DAP. He warned that only Islam offers Malays protection against “Satan and its armies.”
