PAS President, Tan Sri Tuan Guru Abdul Hadi Awang, emphasized that the word Allah carries a profound and comprehensive meaning that cannot be accurately translated into other languages. He explained that while non-Muslims may use the term, their usage often does not align with its true meaning. He stressed that misusing the word Allah, particularly in religious contexts like Bible translations, could mislead Muslims and must be prohibited. However, he acknowledged that completely banning non-Muslims from using the term is not feasible, though its incorrect usage is sinful. He urged for the enforcement of restrictions to prevent confusion and protect Islamic beliefs.
