KUALA LUMPUR – As speculation mounted over Bersatu’s fate in Perikatan Nasional (PN), the coalition’s Supreme Council meeting last night ended without addressing the party’s position. Former prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin attended the PAS headquarters in Kuala Lumpur alongside senior Bersatu leaders, while PAS remained firm in keeping Bersatu within PN.

Instead, the meeting approved the admission of two new component parties: Parti Cinta Malaysia (now Wawasan) and Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang). PN chairman Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar confirmed the decision, noting the council unanimously endorsed their applications. The development highlights shifting dynamics within PN ahead of upcoming state elections.
