An Ipoh man shared a chilling experience online after his wife fell victim to unauthorised bank transactions minutes after answering a silent call from an unknown number. The incident occurred at 7:20 PM on 29 June, when she picked up the call but heard nothing before it ended.

Soon after, multiple deductions appeared on her banking app linked to an online shopping platform. The bank froze her account and card, but the couple still lost two days’ worth of e‑hailing income. A police report was filed, and investigations may take up to 60 days, with recovery chances at 50‑50.
