Former prime minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob clarified that the newly reported Parti Keluarga Malaysia has no connection to Yayasan Keluarga Malaysia (YKM), which he chairs.

Ismail Sabri says Parti Keluarga Not Linked to YKM
He said he only recently learned of the matter and is awaiting official confirmation from the Registrar of Societies (ROS). Ismail expressed concern that the use of the same name could confuse the public and undermine donor confidence, especially in supporting orphans affected by Covid-19.
To protect YKM’s credibility, he is considering registering the foundation’s name as a trademark with MyIPO. ROS has yet to issue a statement on the party’s registration status.
