Kim Kardashian, a world renowned socialite and one of the faces of Balenciaga has been in the negative spotlight for wearing the long deceased Marilyn Monroe’s dress. Kim’s body is curvier than Marilyn’s and the 60 year old dress has shown tearing and beads falling off it.
Bet the dress isn’t worth US$5 Million anymore at this point. However, some users are pointing their fingers to the auction house, Ripleys for even considering allowing Kim to wear it. Kim did abide by the guidelines on wearing it.
But, as the caretaker of the dress, Ripley should be more responsible. Many still found Kim Kardashian to be disrespecting Marilyn Monroe’s wish to have been the only person to wear that dress. Fun fact, the dress was sewn in while Marilyn was wearing it to tether it to her body.
