Netizens are showing their dismay towards the construction of the new LRT 3 line. It seems that it will be operational in 2025. However, construction on massive projects like these may be delayed a few months. Regardless, those living in Shah Alam are more than happy to have public transportation readily available to them.
Netizens backlashing LRT 3
A netizen states that the government reducing the capacity and costs of a project this scale is unsettling. The coaches, stations are both reduced and the project is seemingly mimicking the Kelana Jaya line. For those unfamiliar, the Kelana Jaya line is at it’s capacity, especially during rush hour.
Furthermore, there are complaints that future users of the new LRT 3 will be packed like “sardines.” Some are showing their dismay by stating that the government now is focusing on saving money.
Supporters of former PM Najib Razak are flooding the comments section stating that under his time, the rakyat were living “luxuriously.” However, others state that at the end of the day, he is still charged for his involvement in 1MDB, and that too is not good for the country.
