A tiger found dead after being struck by a truck at KM67.1 on the East-West Highway near Titiwangsa R&R was discovered in a mutilated state, with parts believed stolen. A video shows its skin partially removed, sparking outrage online. Perak’s Wildlife Department (Perhilitan) Director, Yusoff Shariff, confirmed that several parts of the tiger were missing. Perhilitan and the police are now collaborating to trace those involved. Yusoff urged anyone with information or those who may possess parts like skin, fangs, or whiskers, to return them immediately, warning that possession without authorization risks a fine of up to RM1 million and 15 years in prison.
