Malaysia’s Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) scheme for foreign vehicles entering from Singapore by land has begun. Effective Oct 1, vehicles must have a VEP RFID tag linked to a Touch ‘n Go eWallet. Many Singaporeans had avoided entering Malaysia via the two land crossings over the last few days, with 20 per cent fewer vehicles entering from Singapore on Oct 1, The good news is that Malaysia has delayed the strict implementation of the VEP regulation as the authorities rush to ensure that more owners of Singapore-registered vehicles get their permits, issuing errant drivers with only a written warning to do so. #fyp #sgnews #vep #jb #singapore #malaysia #fypsg #jam

TikTokers are unhappy with the implementation. Others state that those in JB were arrogant prior to this, and were making crude statements towards Singaporean visitors. Others state that the application process for the entry pass has to be easier.
