Former Finance Minister Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz testified at the Kuala Lumpur High Court in the corruption and money laundering trial involving former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin. Arriving at 8:30 AM, Zafrul appeared as the prosecution’s 11th witness before Judge Noor Ruwena Md Nurdin.
Muhyiddin Faces RM225.3m Charges Linked to Jana Wibawa Projects
Muhyiddin, 78, faces four charges of abusing his position to secure RM225.3 million under Jana Wibawa projects, and three charges of receiving RM200 million in illicit funds. Zafrul confirmed Muhyiddin’s letter proposing 54 companies for direct negotiation projects, stressing the list came from the Prime Minister’s Office, not the Finance Ministry.
