Malaysians May Eventually Have To Vote During Floods

Despite the fact that the meteorological department has warned that the year-end monsoon will begin by mid-November, this has not happened and Malaysians are to vote on Nov 19.

The MET deputy director-general, Hashim Anip, stated on October 6: “We do not support the holding of GE15” (at this time). Why take the chance when the monsoon is expected to cause flooding? ”

Monsoon floods have wreaked havoc across the country in recent years, with the most recent deluge that subsided in January killing 54 people, causing RM6 billion (S$1.8 billion) in damage, and displacing nearly 70,000 people at its peak in December. But PM Ismail Sabri Yaakob decided to go against such advice.
