Malaysia’s passport is more powerful than America’s
Malaysia’s passport ranks as the 7th strongest globally, placing it ahead of the United States, which sits at 8th. This ranking highlights Malaysia’s greater visa-free travel access compared to the U.S.
Additionally, with the “begpacker” trend rising among westerners, Malaysians say that those with the American passport should be required to apply for a visa rather than having a visa-free access to our country. It is only fair as we’d need to go through a stringent process to apply for an American visa, and users say this would be as reciprocal as Trump’s tariffs.
