Man and Woman Found Dead in Car in Alor Gajah Planned To Marry

ALOR GAJAH, Sept 20, 2026 — The bodies of a man and woman were discovered inside a parked car near a sewage treatment plant in Taman Inang Sari, Durian Tunggal, early Sunday morning.

Police confirmed the case is currently classified as sudden death, with post‑mortem examinations underway at the Alor Gajah Hospital Forensic Unit.

The woman’s brother, 31, revealed the pair had once been close to marriage but ended their relationship some time ago. He said he was shocked to learn they were found together. The woman had been raised by her grandmother before living with her aunt in Kampung Pulau, Durian Tunggal.

Residents reported a foul smell before emergency services arrived around 1am. Witnesses identified the man, known locally as “Pandan,” as a contract road worker living nearby.

Authorities are continuing investigations to determine the cause of death.
