The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) is working with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) to investigate online content allegedly touching on 3R (Race, Religion, Royalty) issues involving the Negeri Sembilan ruler, Tuanku Muhriz Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir.

MCMC confirmed it has recorded the statement of an individual under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998. The commission stressed that provocative or insulting 3R content risks inciting hatred and public tension. It urged all parties to avoid raising 3R issues, especially during election campaigns, and reminded the public to use social media responsibly to safeguard national harmony.
