The Malaysian National Service Training Programme (PLKN) 3.0 will begin in January 2025, starting at two military camps in Kuala Lumpur and Pahang, Deputy Defence Minister Adly Zahari announced. With an initial budget of RM50 million, the programme aims to include 500 participants in its January intake, expanding to more camps nationwide by 2026. PLKN 3.0 will focus on young people aged 16 to 35, including Form Four students, SPM graduates, and university students. This rollout aligns with Malaysia’s efforts to promote civic and leadership skills among youth. Additionally, Melaka’s “Projek Jiwa Murni” restored ten houses for needy families and veterans.
