Calling Charles & Keith A Luxury Brand, Girl Gets Attacked Online

On TikTok, the place where most of the awful comments from society would come from recently targeted a girl who unboxed her new handbag from Charles and Keith. Netizens on TikTok claimed that the brand isn’t a “luxury brand” and went on blasting hateful comments towards her.

The brand is known as a Singaporean luxury brand. LVMH, the parent company of Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Rimowa, Fendi and many others owns 20% of the Singaporean brand. The prices may not be as expensive as these other brands but the price is still not as affordable as the likes of fast fashion brands. 

Many on Twitter have expressed their support towards the girl. Some stated that luxury is a different definition for most of us. For some who cannot afford these European luxury brands may seek more local designer brands that are more suitable to their price range. 

Furthermore, netizens also stated that we should learn to be happy for others instead of tearing them down. The girl looked happy in her TikTok video unboxing her new tote bag, and many others found that she is grateful for what she has.
