An online poll conducted by Pengundi Malaysia, a Facebook page with over 37,000 followers, has stirred debate within PKR. The 24-hour poll, which attracted more than 2,500 votes, shows Rafizi Ramli leading with 65% support compared to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s 35%.
Rafizi Leads
Observers say the results, though unofficial, reflect growing unease among supporters who once saw PKR as the party of reform. The backlash against broken promises, such as the Lynas issue, has dented PKR’s image. More strikingly, the poll suggests Rafizi enjoys support even among non-Malay voters, raising speculation about his political future.
Questions now loom: should Rafizi remain in PKR, strike out independently, or even align with Perikatan Nasional? For Anwar, the poll signals cracks within his party’s base. Source: Pengundi Malaysia/Facebook
